Richmond Bediako, popularly known as Kiddo Junior, is a digital content creator, blogger and former President of the Computer Science Students’ Association (COMPSSA) at Accra Technical University. During his 2025/2026 tenure, he worked with his executives, departmental leadership and students to improve learning facilities, strengthen student representation and promote practical skills development.
A Background in Leadership and Digital Media

Richmond’s interest in leadership began before university, where he served as a school prefect. At Accra Technical University, he continued this journey as a Level 200 course representative before becoming COMPSSA President. He also served on the ATU SRC Editorial Committee and represented students within the Faculty of Applied Science.
Alongside his academic and leadership responsibilities, he developed his public identity as Kiddo Junior through campus reporting, content creation and student advocacy. Through kiddojunior.com, Voice of ATU and his social media platforms, he shares university news, educational guides and campus activities. He is also the founder of Kiddo Junior Media.
Improving Departmental Learning Facilities
A major achievement of his administration was supporting the provision of 20 system units, 10 monitors, 10 mice and supporting cables to improve computer laboratory resources.

His administration also supported repairs to departmental projectors and acquired public-address equipment to assist teaching and departmental programmes. Other provisions included a laptop for the departmental secretary, four water dispensers, and classroom supplies such as markers and dusters.
These interventions addressed practical needs within the department and contributed to a more supportive learning environment.
Strengthening Student Governance
Under Richmond’s leadership, COMPSSA established its first General Council, introducing a broader structure for student participation and accountability. The council included the offices of Speaker, Chief Justice and Head of the Discipline Committee.
His administration also undertook constitutional amendments and produced 10 hardcover copies of the association’s constitution, providing a reference for student leaders and future administrations.
Promoting Digital Access and Student Development
Richmond’s administration launched a departmental association website and introduced an online registration system for freshers, helping move registration from a manual process towards a more accessible digital approach.

The administration organised orientation programmes, seminars and other student activities to support academic development and strengthen relationships within the department. Sporting activities, the COMPSSA Week Celebration and the Aqua Safari trip also created opportunities for students to connect beyond the classroom.
Student welfare remained part of the administration’s work, including financial assistance towards the school fees of 10 students.
Recognition and Continued Service
At the 68th ATU SRC Dinner and Awards Night, Richmond received Best President of the Year and Best Campus Blogger/Media Personality of the Year, alongside two citations recognising his contributions.

His tenure brought together student leadership, digital communication and practical departmental support. As former COMPSSA President, Richmond Bediako—Kiddo Junior—continues to build on these experiences through media work, website design and initiatives that help young people develop practical digital skills.
