The Computer Science Students’ Association is excited to announce the Annual COMPSSA Tech Fair 2026 — the department’s premier showcase of student innovation, technology, and creativity. This year’s edition promises to be bigger and better than ever.

- Venue: ATU Main Auditorium & ICT Lab Complex
- Theme: “AI for Africa: Building Solutions That Matter”
- Open to: All ATU students, faculty, and invited industry partners
What to Expect
The Tech Fair features a packed programme of activities designed to inspire, educate, and connect:
Day 1 — Showcase & Demos (March 15)
- Project Exhibition: Final-year students and project groups will demonstrate their capstone projects, from mobile apps and web platforms to IoT devices and AI models.
- Startup Pitch Competition: Got a tech idea? Teams of 2-4 students can pitch their startup concepts to a panel of judges from the local tech ecosystem. Cash prizes for the top 3!
- Hackathon Kickoff: The 24-hour hackathon begins at 6PM — build a working prototype that addresses a real community challenge.
Day 2 — Talks & Networking (March 16)
- Industry Panel: Guest speakers from Ghana’s leading tech companies will discuss careers in software engineering, data science, cybersecurity, and cloud computing.
- Workshop Sessions: Hands-on workshops covering Git & GitHub, React.js basics, Python for Data Science, and Introduction to Cloud Deployment.
- Hackathon Judging & Awards: Present your hackathon projects and compete for prizes.
- Networking Session: Connect with industry professionals, recruiters, and alumni over refreshments.
How to Participate
Registration is free for all ATU students. Sign up through the COMPSSA WhatsApp group or visit the COMPSSA desk at the CS department office. Industry partners interested in sponsorship or participation should contact the COMPSSA President or Faculty Advisor.
